Steer engineering offers Twin Screw Extruder, Alpha Series. This is a robust co-rating twin-screw extruder, created to be a workhorse, built with the well-accepted technology. The ratio of outer to inner diameter being 1.49 and specific torque > 11.3 Nm/cm3, with screw speeds of 400, 600 and 800 rpm that has the greater adaptability for a range of processing materials with high throughput. Alpha features are easy to maintain open construction along with the modern features: a main drive with modern microprocessor based vector controlled variable speed drive with torque control. The torque-limiting coupling connects motor and the gearbox. This coupling disconnects the gearbox from the motor instantaneously when the torque demanded by the system exceeds a certain value. This value is set between a range of values, and the range decides the specification of the torque limiter. Alpha 50"s robust gearbox is oil-cooled and the oil lubrication system includes a heat exchanger, oil filter and oil circulation pump. The materials of construction is special grade, steels with high wear and are corrosion resistant. The element and component is manufactured by advanced computer aided design and manufactured with CNC facility. Application: mineral filled polymers, colour and carbon-black master batch, polymer blends.
