Twin Shaft Extruder With Improved Performance

For twenty years, Thyssen Henschel has manufactured the reliable Durumax TPM 3 and TPM 3-DOS extruder gearbox series. The latest version, the TPM 3-DOS-V design transmits a 50 per cent higher torque reference to the basic torque at the same shaft distance and same extruder worm diameter. Three different sizes ensure that a gearbox is available for every application with regard to price/performance. Based on this new concept, the manufacturers have developed an extruder gearbox for co-rotating extrusion of the series TGE, which are supplied as counter-rotating gearboxes with shaft distances between 44 to 136 mm.
