Open die forgings

Pune-based Western India Forgings manufactures all forged products typically made by the open die forging process like rings, discs, sleeves, single end hubs, double end hubs, upset blocks, square or rectangular bars and round bars. These rough forgings are also supplied in proof machined and heat treated condition. These forgings have been used for the manufacture of machinery for industries like cement, sugar, steel, pumps, material handling like cranes, windmill and heavy engines. In general, the range of manufacture for items forged by the open die forging processes are as follows: gear blanks - single piece to a maximum weight of 2000 kg; shafts - single piece to a maximum of 3500 kg with a max diameter of 450 mm; rings - single piece to a max weight of 1000 kg with max outside diameter of 1400 mm, and a max thickness of 375 mm; and pot die forgings - maximum single piece weight of 850 kg.
