NF Forgings, an ISO 9000: 2001 certified company boasts quality enhanced products, skilled labour force, strong management team, willingness to invest in pioneering concepts, and a firm commitment to customer. The company has the capacity to compete: deliver non-ferrous forged and machined custom-made components that are free from porosity, free from surface inclusion, with high strength and ductility, and cost competitive. Machines that make a difference: it has installed machinery that makes a vast difference to its capacity and quality, a capacity of 80 tonnes per shift per month. Currently it works on a single shift and can step up production with two more shifts. The machinery includes: forging screw presses (600T, 400T, 250T, 160T, 120T and 100T); furnaces (oil, electric and LPG); automatic metal/bar cutting machines; tool room with spark erosion machine facility for die making; pickling facility with effluent treatment plant; and mini machine shop enabling first operation. The company has taken the initiative of converting all old manual presses and machines to PLC base that enable reduction of fatigue and deliver consistent quality. It has the capacity to manufacture forgings of components weighing up to: 12 kg for brass, 10 kg for copper, 7 kg for aluminium, 6 kg for aluminium bronze and Bohn alloy. The maximum diameter of the forged components can be up to 450 mm and length up to 500 mm. The company supplies to the niche area of customers belonging to: automotive, electric power generation, refrigeration, defence equipment, valve manufacturers, other engineering industries.
