Description: Casting flexibility – grey iron, ductile iron and steel casting to international specifications; and customised slow-mould cooling and stress relived. Casting flexibility range: grey iron – 50 to 3500 kg; ductile iron – 50 to 2000 kg; steel – 50 to 1500 kg; and no minimum quality restrictions. Finishing: completely equipped for shot blasting, grinding and inspection; stress reliving; and primer painting to customer specification. Patterns: wood, metal and expanded polystyrene (thermo cole); complete flexibility to use existing pattern equipment and core boxes; custom designed gating systems; and complete layout and maintenance. Core making: furan sand; and core and box equipment designed for flexibility. The company is adept at maintaining very tight tolerance, visually inspecting each individual piece at the time of production. Customised testing or dimensioning programs are implemented as required by the customer. Equipment and facilities to maintain quality includes: online liquid metal analysis with carbon/silicon analyser; 21-channel Bruker-Quantron make ‘Columbus’ spectrometer; Metzer microscope with Metavis image analysis system; mechanical testing facilities; tensile strength testing; impact testing; non destructive testing; ultrasonic sound test; magnetic particle test; dye penetration test; and hydro pressure test.
