EPS Foam Sheet Extrusion Machine

Malik Engineers manufacture Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Foam Sheet Extrusion Line. This machine produces EPS foam sheets that are used in producing disposable, lightweight containers, lunch boxes, cups, glasses, fruit & vegetable trays, etc. EPS sheets are also used in packaging to protect fragile items like glasswares, electronic products, insulation, shock mitigation, etc.

Extrusion Machine produces EPS foam sheet using polystyrene granules & other additives with butane blowing gas. The single screw extruder constantly plasticizes the polystyrene plastic, butane blowing gas is mixed inside the extruder, at high pressure, the molten mass is homogenized and cooled, extruded out through annular die. Since the molten mass contains blowing gas, it expands immediately as it emerges out of annular die, and becomes light weight or lower in density (40-60 Kg/cu.mt) and the blown tube after being drawn onto suitable cooling and sizing mandrel, is slit at diameter to get two single layer sheets. The sheets cool as they travel forward over pulling rollers and finally wound on winder as flexible rolls.

The single screw extruder has long life and accuracy, since main parts are made out of wear resistant steel, and easy to operate. The butane gas pump is imported and safe for running on LPG gas, with proper safety installed at user’s site. The plant is controlled with closed loop control panel for accurate control of melt pressure, temperature, gas flow, etc. and it ensures producing an accurate product with minimum wastage.
