Dummy Bar

Dhyan Engineers, a leading manufacturer of machinery for castings, offers Dummy Bars. There is an articulated claw-shaped steel casting at the beginning of the dummy bar of a continuous casting machine. It closes the bottom opening of the mould and receives the molten steel at cast start-up. The company manufactures dummy bars with gunmetal bushes. The dummy bar head serves to seal the mould before start of casting and to withdraw the initially solidified hot strand out at casting start and send it into the withdrawal straightening unit. Head and transition pieces can easily be mounted to the dummy bar body when dummy bar is in parking position. The dummy bar cap is used to replace the traditional hook. Casting can be started without filling asbestos ropes and steel bar materials into mould. The dummy bar head from dummy, and dummy transitional shaft is composed of three parts.
