Stoker Concast has developed a

Continuous Casting Machine

, which uses a graphite self draining bottom pouring crucible, graphite heating elements and graphite die. The scrap or virgin metal is melted in the crucible and the molten metal is made to pass through a water-cooled graphite die fixed horizontally at the bottom of the crucible. The solidified metal takes the shape of die bore and is continuously withdrawn with the help of withdrawal unit driven by geared DC motor. The scrap/virgin metal is continuously fed from top in batches in the crucible and solidified metal is continuously withdrawn thereby giving a continuous length of rod, tube or strips. The casting machine is available in three phase primary supply in 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 150 kg/hr output. The input supply to the machine is 3 phase, 440 V AC, converted to 16 to 24 V AC with the help of transformer. Being low voltage, it is very safe to work. The following machines exclusively for jewellery industry are among the stoker range of products: muffle type annealing furnace, melting furnace for 1/2,1, 2 and 4 kg of gold/silver, wax burn-out furnace for 12, 24, 36 flasks, and import substitute graphite crucibles and spares.
