Casting

Casting Made Easy is a new activity at Preetham Products that offers prototyping and mass production of components made of lead, tin and zinc alloys and thermoset plastics like polyester, polyurethane and epoxy, through a versatile and cost effective process of spin casting. The maximum size that can be thus cast is 200 x 150 x 75 mm, weighing ranges from 3 gm to 600 gm, depending upon the material. Casting takes place within 24-48 hrs. The process offers design flexibility without much re-tooling. The other advantages of spin casting process are speed and economy. Any intricate shape can be spin cast at a reasonable and low initial investment. Samples can be developed from an original piece or drawing.
