ACTech GmbH a world leader in the field of Cast Prototypes, based in Freiberg, Germany. In India the company is working since 2004 with various automotive companies to develop completely machined and assembled engine sets for cars, tractors, trucks and power generators. It is involved in most of the major vehicle launches in India for their engine developments. ACTech GmbH have an experience of making complex engine prototype parts for over 4500 different engine projects (single cylinder to V16 cylinder engines). It makes complex automotive cast prototype parts in aluminum, cast iron and steels. The core business is power train and turbocharger prototyping and the company cater to the prototype casting needs of nearly 950 automotive majors, T1 and T2 suppliers worldwide. Typical time-line for fully machined and assembled complex engine castings is 4-6 weeks. Typical power train parts prototyped are cylinder heads, crankcases, manifolds, gearbox casings, transmission housings, and turbo chargers. Turbocharger developers’ world over want to try their various ideas and concepts in turbocharger design. But often due to foundry constraints and traditional approaches none of these ideas are ever tested. With ACTech, these developers test out their ideas almost to the limits of foundry technology – like this turbocharger housing illustrated here in high temperature resistant steel with wall thicknesses of 1.8 mm in certain areas. Over the last 14 years the company has developed into a complete one stop shop for turbocharger prototyping; Specialised in bringing in the better, faster, ACTech regularly supplies completely functional completely machined turbochargers parts (turbine housing, compressor housing and centre housing typically in 2-3 weeks time).
