ATCO is a name synonymous with the revolution in weighing scales. Since 1987 Atco expanded its product portfolio by adding safety and security products, instrumentation products, retail automation products and material handling products. All these addition of products were like labor pain. Starting a factory and looking for various items and suppliers was the most painful exercise. Delays were enormous, quality of products we buy and the reliability of various vendors remained questionable as there was no organized retailing channel for these products. Buying finished goods to raw material and components were tremendous tasks. Purchase team was constantly missing the dead line and result was additional investments in the form of higher inventories, stand by equipment etc.
