Welding heads

Kirpekar Engineering has introduced new generation welding heads. These weld heads are based on designs from Technax Industrie, France. These weld heads are modular in structure which are mounted on aluminium extruded sections. This enables the user to place these weld heads vertically or horizontally. In case of an arrangement involving movement of both electrodes, this can be easily adapted as per the users requirement. The movement of the electrode is by using low inertia cylinders. These are normally manufactured by Festo or SMC. The linear movement is by using linear motion guides. This ensures that movement is smooth without play. The heads are available in large range of weld force beginning from 10 dN to 1300 dN. The lower electrode can be fitted directly below the top-moving electrode or at angle to the moving electrode. The electrode holders have a unique design with quick coupling for inserting the water-cooling tube. The water need not stopped at the time of replacing the electrode. Moreover the electrodes are in the form of a bit, the user need not worry about tapers etc. These electrodes are clamped using brass lock nuts. These weld heads also can be retrofitted onto any old spot/projection welding machine.
