Esab India offers a portale welding machine, Caddy 140/200, which isa world bestseller. This lightweight machine with its ergonomi- cal design is ideal for working in restricted spaces and awkward spots. Salient features include: professional stick electrode welding; scratch start TIG welding; simple setting, easy to use; anti-stick and hot start function; remote control outlet; HF suppression; dust filter and lacquered electronics; conforms to IEC 974, a must for safety; and, IP 23 protection for indoor and outdoor use. For MMA applications, Caddy supplies direct cur- rent, and most metals can be welded to alloyed and non alloyed steel, stainless steel and cast iron. Caddy 140 can use most electrodes from 1.6 - 3.2 mm diameter, and with Caddy 200 one can weld with up to 200 A and use electrodes up to 4 mm diameter. The machines are equipped with an Arc Plus regulator, that gives an intense, yet stable arc that is easy to control. For TIG applica- tions, one can easily TIG-weld mild and alloyed steels, with a TIG torch with gas valve, a gas regulator and a bottle of gas. Caddy 140 is a 230 V single-phased welding rectifier, and Caddy 200 is a 400 V three-phase power source.
