The speciality of the portable but heavy-duty welding generator is that while it offers DC welding current for extra smooth welding, the welding current is capable to use all types of cellulosic electrodes, with ease. It also offers single phase and three phase AC current in these compact sets, making them very versatile for any remote site use also. They are in use under Indian climatic conditions for last 30 years and their versatility is well proven in construction and other industries.

Navketan Private Limited has been associated with Indian Railways for last three decades and has had the privilege to introduce a new concept for re-conditioning of points and crossings. The company, the first to introduce Honda Portable Generators in the Indian market, represented Honda Motor Co Ltd of Japan, as their sole agent.

Other principals include: E O Paton International Holdings Inc., Canada; and Holland LP of USA, the pioneer in marketing mobile flash butt rail welding machines. These companies have mastered the welding-head technology to such an extent that other manufacturers around the world use their welding-head assemblies in their machines. This has resulted in a situation where more than half of the world's rail welding is either done on their machines or on their welding-heads.
