MFDC Welders For Steel Welding

Kriton Weld Equipments Pvt Ltd offers MFDC Welders for various Steel Welding applications including coil joining in steel processing lines. The company has entered into agreement with world-renowned Serra-Soldadura of Spain to supply their MFDC transformers and MFDC weld-controllers along with ‘Kriton’ welding equipment. MFDC welders are three phase supply operated inverter type welding equipment with DC welding current, which have clear advantages over conventional welders for precise welding conditions. Among the main advantages are:

• Fine weld time resolution is achieved due to medium frequency (one kHz) supply
• Fine weld current setting through PWM (pulse width modulation) of inverter technology
• Better load balancing of all three phases on input supply as compared to conventional line-frequency three phase DC welders
• MFDC welder gives better performance in case of demand kVA
• Demand kVA remain same as welder kVA whereas in case of single phase AC or DC welders the demand kVA is much higher than welder kVA (almost double)
• Because of lesser demand kVA, there is a cost saving for user of MFDC welder due to reduction in supply side downstream electrifications including feeder transformer for the welder
• In MFDC weld-controller, more than 200 weld schedules are available for various operating programs
• MFDC weld-controller can be directly interfaced with line controls and computer through Field bus
• MFDC gives compactness to the weld-equipment and thus space saving
