Friction Welding Machine

Friction welding is a production method for joining similar/dissimilar metals quickly, economically and cleanly through mechanical rotation and pressure. The machines are hydrauli cally operated and PLC controlled. Since friction welding produces full-face homogeneous joints, it is accepted as an extremely reliable production method. It is covered by international standards including BS:6223 and is widely used in the automobile, aerospace, electrical and nuclear industries. It is particularly suited for reducing the cost of complex forgings/castings, eg, welding of spindle/shaft to cast or forged head.
