Dronacharya Industries is an Indian manufacturer of cold pressure butt welding machines and dies for non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, zinc, silver, gold, etc., and their alloys, used for AAC, AAAC and ACSR cables. Model D1 is suitable for 2 mm to 4.72 mm; and Model D2 is suitable for 5 mm to 9.50 mm cables. Joint put by cold pressure butt-welding is 100% equal in strength and conductivity as compared to original material as no heat, flux or electricity is used in the process. This process is cheapest in operation as no consumable is required. This process is mandatory for ISI certification for conductors and cables manufacturing units. The company also manufactures suitable dies for similar capacity English machines. It also develops systems for cold pressure welding as per customer’s requirements.
