Special Purpose Machine

Mayuresh Engineers offers a Special Purpose Machine. This is designed for checking surface and near surface, subsurface cracks and inclusions in high-tension insulator caps and ball pins at the rate of around 6 jobs/minute. With an output of up to 3000 A for circular magnetisation and up to 7.5 KAT for longitudinal magnetisation, the machine is suitable for testing components up to 300 mm long, 120 mm diameter and 10 kg weight. The magnetisation process commencing with clamping of the job by compressed air, spraying of magnetic bath on the job, application of automatic magnetisation shot and declamping. The cycle repeats itself automatically as long as the cycle switch remains in the ON position. In addition to separate magnetisation in longitudinal and transverse planes, facility has been provided for simultaneous magnetisation for detecting cracks in all directions in one operation. A 30-litre magnetic bath tank with circulation and agitation system is provided. Inspection is done under black light. Demagnetisation is carried out on a separate coil type of demagnetiser. Power: 415 V, three-phase, 50 Hz, 75 A intermittent and compressed air: 5 kg/cm2.
