Gear Hobbing Machine

Hindustan Engg Works manufactures an export quality range of V Series Gear Hobbing Machines for over fifty years. The machines are available in various sizes for cutting gears from 5 mm dia to 3000 mm dia. These machines have been designed for production of precision spur, helical and worm gears; splines, sprockets and ratchet wheels; and any other gear form that can be hobbed. The beds and columns of these machines are made of close grain castings and are very well ribbed with V-type guideways. Shafts and gears are made of alloy steels. Provision is made to remove backlash between the indexing worm and worm gears and also between the feed screw and the nut of the hob slide. Oil reservoirs are provided in the machine, which ensures thorough lubrication of gears and bearings. The complete range of models is as under: V-250 (capacity 10” dia x 4 module); V-1500 (capacity 60” dia x 12 module); V-300 (capacity 20”dia x 5 module); V-1800 (capacity 84” dia x 16 module); V-600 (capacity 30” dia x 6 module); V-2500 (capacity 120” dia x 25 module); and V-1000 (capacity 40” dia x 10 module) tool and cutter grinder (for grinding hob cutters).
