Gauging & Sorting Machine

Amolik’s gauging and sorting machine is based on the principle that the components to be gauged or sorted, pass between two highly accurate rollers rotating in opposite directions and set at a taper such that the largest diameter of the component falls between the minimum and the maximum distance between the rollers. The sorting accuracies of less than 1 micron can be achieved and the out put can be 100 numbers per minute or even higher depending on the components and accuracy. These machines are used for sorting out mixed sizes of components as well. The rollers are made of alloy steel, hardened and ground to very high degree of concentricity and they rotate in super high precision bearings. A range of vibratory feeders makes this system fairly automatic. The speed of rotation of the rollers can be controlled with in a range. Adjustable collection bins are provided where the components fall after been gauged or sorted. The machines are available in models ranging from 300 mm length to 1700 mm length of rollers. Major application areas are balls of various materials such as steel, plastic, brass, ceramic, small rollers, rivet heads, bolt heads, chain components and many other applications that are conducive to the process.
