Sanki Machine Tools (India) Pvt Ltd offers a CNC high precision (mirror finish) powder Electric Discharge Machine (EDM), Model P60, manufactured by Sane Kuei Machinery Company Ltd, Taiwan. This high technology machine was exhibited at IMTEX 2012 in Bangalore, and the first time the machine displayed in India. Using the powder mirror surface finishing system one can achieve ultra fine surface roughness of Ra 0.1µm (mirror finish). There is no need to do any manual polishing after machining. Some of the outstanding features of this machine are as follows: for all the 3-axis 1µ linear scale is provided as standard for high precision positioning; full 3-D tack machining or any shape of Orbit-Cut machining. The machine uses high speed CNC control with 10.4” high precision resolution TFT LCD screen. This is twin usage machine. Normal dielectric fluid is used for rough finishing; then powder to proceed mirror surface finishing. The machine has high speed jump function to save ideal time. The machine head servo utilises a special bearing design for stability, zero interval and load rate twice as high as conventional units. Automatic electrode changer and C-axis can be provided as optional. This machine has application particularly in mould industries like speaker mould, mobile mould, etc., where hand polishing is very difficult.
