Centrifugal Barrel Finishing Machines

Vega Swing centrifugal barrel finishing machine is meant for deburring, radiusing, descaling, cleaning, burnishing, pre-stressing and fine surface finishing of small, high precision, fragile, delicate and parts needing ultrafine finishes. This includes: watch parts, instrument gears, aircraft engine vanes, bearing races, air conditioner flapper valves/reeds, orthodontal and surgical parts, jewellery, capacitor chips, chain links, etc. Further high compressive stresses are imparted to the surface of parts, greatly improving their resistance to fatigue failure. The machine has a series of 4 barrels mounted on the edge of rotating turret. As the turret rotates at high speed in one direction, the barrels rotate at slow speed in the opposite direction. Workpieces to be deburred and finished, media and water with some form of compound are loaded in each barrel.
