Capacitor Can Sealing Machines

Orbital Systems manufactures special purpose machines that are used for sealing (curling) of the capacitor cans with the Bakelite covers in electronic industries. The machine can handle capacitor cans ranging from diameters of 30 mm to 90 mm max and from 65 mm to 280 mm height. The machine is provided with precision adjustments so that the correct pressure is applied on the Bakelite covers. The sealing head is a unique 3-roller design, which gives a uniform pressure all round the circumference of the can and gradually curls it. This design prevents distortion or elliptical formation of the can bodies, thus ensuring a perfect leak proof sealing operation. A very efficient gripper ensures that the can is gripped properly before and during the sealing operation. Provision is made for raising and lowering the gripper to accommodate cans of varying lengths. The company also manufactures capacitor can grooving and pressing machines, which can handle the sizes mentioned above.
