Solder paste softener

New Delhi-based Sumitron Marketing offers a solder paste softener, Model SPS 1, manufactured by Malcom Company Ltd, Japan. The main feature of this softener is that automatic operation assures gentle softening and unlike hand mixing, provides even consistency. It employs a pseudo planetary motion whereas the solder paste container rotates slowly at the end of an arm which spins rapidly. The resulting centrifugal force causes the solder paste within the container to repeatedly fold over itself, thereby mixing and softening itself. It is an efficient mixer, uses off the shelf airtight containers so oxidation and humidity are no longer a concern. The centrifuge is self balancing and has an off balance safety detector.
