Power Press, Steel Body Gap Frame

J Hasmukhray & Co started in 1969 with a foundry business, manufacturing oil engine parts and graded castings for machine tools. The company is now engaged in production of power presses of capacity 10 to 300 tonnes, with the benefit of its own foundry division. It offers a steel body gap frame power press. The frame is of all steel construction, fabricated from rolled steel plates with suitable cross fibbing. Presses up to 30 tonnes can be supplied with CI legs and full steel body. Proper alignment of the frame is ensured by machining. The clutch is of pin/rolling key-type, rigid and well supported. It gives continuous stroke for mass production. The crankshaft is made of special alloy steel machined to close accuracy and fitted in bronze bushes for smooth working, longer life and accuracy. Properly sized flywheel is made of high-grade cast iron, for storing and releasing adequate energy for the pressing operations, and properly balanced for smooth running. Gears are made of steel cast. Gear teeth are generated by precision hobbing machine. Table and ram are made of high-grade heavy-duty cast iron and properly seasoned. They are perfectly aligned, to each other to obtain high accuracy and precision press operation. An efficient shot lubrication system has been provided for lubricating the sliding surfaces and moving parts. The lubricant is applied by hand pump. Inclinable type presses are provided with inclining mechanism which can be easily set and locked in position by spanners within minutes. The press is so designed that even in maximum inclined position, it is stable under heavy pressing load. Standard accessories: motor pulley, slide adjusting spanner, flywheel and gear guard, and oil cups for lubrication point. Optional accessories: single/continuous stroke, lubrication pump manual, lubrications pump automatic, electricals, tie-rod, tommy bar, extra base plate, inclination arrangement, and knockout system.
