Schuler India offers knuckle-joint press system, GMO Dynamic Drive, manufactured by Schuler Gr?bener, Germany. This is suitable to manufacture ready-to-install sheet metal parts made of stainless steel for exhaust systems in automobiles, with increased performance and better quality. Various manufacturing operations like cutting, drawing, bending, embossing and sizing are carried out in one single sequence without the need for re-machining. Sheet holding is considerably improved by a servo-acting draw cushion, the integrated process control system provides the maximum level of security. Zeuna St?rker, a leading auto component manufacturer, achieves an increase in output of 20 - 25 per cent compared to systems used so far. In addition, the tool life is extended by 40 - 50 percent. The servo-controlled drawing cushion greatly improves the behaviour of steel sheet, and allows high strength, stainless steels to be drawn more gently and uniformly. The integrated process monitoring system ensures greater reliability in product and precision control of the shaping operation so that faulty parts do not occur in the first place. The sheet material is fed into the press via double decoiler, straightener and roll feeds. Between the roll feed and the tool feed side a sheet lubricating mechanism is integrated, which applies lubricant in particular places, to improve the process. Progressive dies and transfer dies are used for the manufacturing process. The exhaust silencer butts in the progressive die are cut in four to six steps, drawn, finished and punched, then connecting areas are formed and cut off. Technical data: 630 or 800-tonne press force; bolster plate sizes between 2.50 and 4 metres; and stroke heights from 100 to 300 mm.
