Fly, Toggle & Arbour Press, Hand Operated

Different types of hand operated presses are manufactured by Sky Press & Metal Co, to meet different industrial requirements. The presses are made of graded cast iron body. Hand fly press: this comes with optional attachment either wheel or boll-handle. It also has a pair of clamps to hold dies, to meet the height and particular stroke. The complete range starts from sizes “0” to “9”. Toggle press: this is a spring loaded arbour press. The press is used for solid hollow and eyelet riveting, flatting, numbering, marking, assembling, etc., hence it is extremely useful in all light engineering industries like electronic and electrical control equipment, small tools automobile ancillaries, etc. It is available in sizes “0” to “2”. Arbour press: this is designed for production work of quick operation in general engineering workshop, automobile workshop, garages, etc.; or for driving mandrels in out of work and also used for inserting and removing bushes, bearings etc. The arbor plate rotates on its centre and is slotted for different types of mandrels. The round type arbour press is provided with a keyway and screw to prevent the ram turning. Square type arbour press has larger bearing surface, which prolongs life. The machined ram bearing plate is held securely to the frame by four large screws permitting possible wear. Both square type and round type arbour presses are available in sizes “0” to “4”.
