Drill press from Calcutta-based G R Industries converts any air or electric hand drill into a portable drill press for shop and field uses. It is used for close tolerance drilling, tapping or reaming in vertical, horizontal or overhead positions. Drilling on curved surface is done by using steel packing. This press helps in cutting production time, cost and increase shop efficiency. The heart of this unit is a powerful electro-magnet that holds the drill press firmly in place for drilling in any position. Drill sizes up to 1 1/2? are easily accommodated in these units. This product features a radial positioner with a turning radius of 330 degree. Precision alignment of the drill bit or tap is accomplished after the magnet has been turned by use of the handle. This allows a lateral movement throughout the entire 330-degree turning radius. This unit is supplied with a safety chain for horizontal and overhead drilling security in case of power failure and it requires only 220 V, 50 cycles, single phase AC or DC to operate.
