Falcon Machine Tools Co Ltd, Taiwan, introduces Chevalier brand high quality, low cost turret milling machines. The slideways of table, knee and column are hardened and ground. The upper and lower surfaces of saddle are laminated with Turcite ?-B and precisely hand scraped to provide low friction and an accurate slide-way system. The one-shot lubrication system has a flow rate that can be adjusted to assure adequate quantity of oil is supplied to the slide-way system. All essential castings are made of high grade Meehanite cast iron which has been stress relieved by annealing. The Chevalier machine can be offered with infinitely variable spindle speed. Some of its features are: high precision spindle, accurately ground quill and housing, solid quill feed, low-vibration variable-speed spindle drive, and double-nut arrangement to eliminate back lash.
