Meiban Engineering Technologies offers Salvagnini’s Compact Panel Bender, the ideal alternative to conventional press-brakes for small batch production. Salvagnini’s PERformERx compact panel bender is an excellent alternative to conventional press-brakes. It can process mild steel from 2.5 mm thick and stainless steel from 2 mm thick, making it the ideal solution for a vast number and wide range of customers. In addition to the functional and structural characteristics which make this machine one of Salvagnini’s most interesting solutions, the PERformERx can make bends up to 165 mm high and 2180 mm long. The PERformERx integrates also the ABT® technology which enables the machine to continually check and compensate for any thermal expansion caused by environmental factors; self adjust for spring back and use highly efficient algorithms to compensate for variations in gauge/profile when making various complex bends. From an operational point of view, the machine, compact and with extremely reduced dimensions, only requires operator intervention for loading and unloading and, if necessary, for extremely fast retooling (never more than 3-5 minutes). The unit is provided with universal bending blades (tools) and does not require retooling whenever production changes. The sheet is moved exclusively by means of the manipulator and without any intervention by the operator: as a consequence, the result is always precise, repeatable and safe.
