Vertical Hydraulic Honing Machine

D-Honer Engineers (India) offers Model D-Honer-DHV-100A, a vertical honing machine with electro-mechanical expansion for connecting rods. The honing cycle is fully automatic. The operator has to put the job on fixture and give the clamp command for automatic clamping and press cycle start button. The honing tool starts to rotate, reciprocate and servo expansion will start as per settable programme. At the same time a mechanical gauge will try to enter inside the job during honing process. When the gauge enters, the machine will automatically transfer to finishing cycle. In this cycle servo will count its settable pulses for final size of the job. When it completes the pulses, the cycle will stop and the machine will go home as per the programme. This operation improves geometrical accuracies like taper, ovality, roundness and improves surface finish by removal of tool chatter marks, etc., increasing bearing contact area and maintaining the CP/CPK of the job size.
