Centreless Superfinishing Machine

Arihant has developed a range of centreless throughfeed superfinishing machines of the Series Arisup-CL for external superfinishing of cylindrical components like rollers, needles, gudgeon pins, shock absorber piston rods, computer printer rods, textile spindles, etc. These machines have 2, 4, 6 or 8 superfinishing stations depending on component production requirements. These components are continuously fed from one end of a pair of rollers. They are superfinished on various stations from roughing to superfiniishing. These finished components come out from the other end of the rollers. Rollers are hyperbolic and the angle of inclination is adjustable. Pneumatic oscillation system gives 2,000 strokes per minute of oscillations to the superfinishing stones which are also pressed pneumatically on the components. By action of component rotation, stone oscillations and stone pressure, superfinishing action takes place and components are superfinished. Centre distance of the rollers is also adjustable to cover a range of diameters. Coolant is supplied to various stations and used coolant with fine metal particles is carried back to the tank through filters. These machines improve surface finish to Ra value less than 0.05 _?"m, improves circularity, eliminates feed and chatter marks, and improves bearing contact area ratio.
