It includes a patented motion control system; a patented machine structure with complete component protection against water, dirt, and grit; a precision X-Y axis mounted to the cutting table for rigidity; pre-loaded linear bearings and precision ball screws for increased accuracy; rapid water level control for submerged cutting; a durable abrasive feed system with the MaxJetTM nozzle and high pressure plumbing. The controller with Intelli-MaxTM software free for life: machine"s patented "Compute First-Move Later" motion control system includes CAD/ CAM software with online help, and an "Expert" software routine for complex machining with minimal operator training. The Intelli-Max software provides higher average cutting speeds and greater precision. The software runs on a Windows XP Professional computer. The MaxJetTM abrasive jet nozzle: water is pressurised before entering the pre-aligned abrasive jet nozzle, then accelerates through a small jewel orifice within the nozzle at 2500 feet per second. Abrasive and water are mixed in an abrasion-resistant ceramic mixing tube, and a stream of abrasive-laden water exits the nozzle at 1000 feet per second. A standard MaxJet nozzle, MaxJet water only nozzle and the MaxJet MiniJet nozzle for cutting intricate parts are available. The bearing and drive mechanism: the X and Y drive mechanisms include machine tool grade linear bearings; brushless servomotors with digital drives; high-precision ground ball screws. An extensive line of accessories to extend the waterjet capabilities are available. They include a Tilt-A-JetTM nozzle for reduced taper; a Minijet nozzle for detailed cutting; drill attachment for brittle materials; and a precision optical locator.
