Fadal Machining Centers offers Vertical Machining Centers, FX Series. These are designed for versatile metal cutting operations on aluminium or steel. The machines are especially well suited for die and mould producers and parts manufacturers who need a highly-capable machine with low operating costs, but have minimal capital investment dollars to spend on it. The FX machines were designed with a strong focus on rigidity, speed, and controls capability. The Fadal GE Fanuc 0i-MC control includes over 200 advanced programming, operational and troubleshooting features. Optional AI contour control adds "look ahead" capability to optimise acceleration and deceleration of the cutting speed. Maximum spindle speed is 8,000 RPM. X/Y/Z axes travel on the 3016FX is 762 x 406 x 508 mm. Rapid travel rate is 25.4 m/min. The 4-axis machining capability of the machine is enhanced by 105 Nm of torque and 16.5 kW peak power (11 kW continuous). Steinmeyer ETA+ dual-mounted ball screws contribute to the machine"s high accuracy.
