Fadal Machining Centres offers Vertical Machining Centre, Fadal 6535HTX. This is a new 50-taper high-torque vertical machining centre. The machine optimises aggressive cutting of titanium and hardened steel through use of a 50-taper, 6000-RPM high-torque spindle (36 kW Peak power, 598 Nm Peak torque) and air/oil lubrication, making it ideal for aerospace, automotive and other applications. Cutting rates up to 15.3 mpm, with rapid travel rates up to 22.9 mpm, can be achieved. It is built with heavy-duty construction and provides a large work envelope of 1,651 x 889 x 787 mm (X/Y/Z travel). It has flame-hardened box ways, including four on the base casting, support heavy, large workpiece applications, providing the rigidity and vibration damping required for higher performance. Double-mounted extra-large 63 mm ball screws ensure accurate positioning for close-tolerance machining of massive parts. In addition, the machine features "Cool Power", a refrigerant cooling system that maintains the temperature of the ball screws and the spindle headstock, reducing the effects of thermal growth for consistent positioning accuracy and high repeatability. This model is equipped with a Fanuc 18i-MB control and a 32-tool dual-arm automatic tool changer (ATC). Tool change time is 2.5 seconds (tool-to-tool).
