Features: fully enclosed ATC eliminates the frequent cleaning of tool pots; angular gradient walls and telescopic covers for efficient removal of chips; optimally designed for high structural rigidity and stiffness for high performance; unique spindle technology to maintain constant preload and low vibration; and Makino’s patented super geometric intelligence (SGI .4) maintains higher feed rates and accuracy. The S33APC vertical machining centre utilises a 40 taper, 13,000-RPM spindle with the stiffness and rigidity required for hard cutting applications and the speed necessary to provide high surface quality for demanding die and mould applications. Heavy cast construction and an axis configuration with no overhangs ensures high machine rigidity, resulting in outstanding accuracy over the full range of travel. It is capable of maintaining positioning accuracies to within ±.0001 inch (.003 mm) and repeatability of ±.00008 inch (.002 mm).
