Vertical Machining Centre for Dies & Moulds

Stitch Overseas Private Limited offers SIRIUS UL+, a Vertical Machining Centre, manufactured by Hwacheon Machine Tool Company Limited from Korea, ideal for Dies and Moulds industry. The rigid bilateral gate structure in SIRIUS UL+ supports the X-axis drive and diverts the load, vibration and heat from the upper section of the machine throughout the frame which helps to keep the feed drive stable after hours of operation. The distance between the spindle and the body is designed short so the machine stays stable in maintaining the rigidity and for enhancing the machining precision. The spindle is designed with inbuilt type of motor to limit vibration, noise and power loss at high speed rotation. A special grade of oil is injected directly into the spindle bearings for effective cooling and in addition to jet lubrication, the motor and spindle assembly are also jacket-cooled to limit the displacement caused by heat. The “Hwacheon” developed OPTIMA – Cutting Feed Optimisation System, utilises an adaptive control method to regulate the feed rate in real time to sustain the cutting load during a machining process as a result of which the tools are less prone to damage and machining time is reduced. The SIRIUS UL+ is configured in 3D simulations and FEM analysis to achieve structural rigidity, which translates to quality product results without wasting time in worries of machine failure and safety. With a table size of 1200 x 600 mm, a travel range of 1050 x 600 x 550 mm and compact design the SIRIUS UL+ achieves highest accuracy and performance with 20,000 rpm of high speed spindle. The ATC using an efficient and trouble free cam operated system with double swing arm remarkably reduces tool change time to a minimum. It has 30 station tool capacity as standard and it is available in BT40 system and BBT40 taper also as an option.
