Breton has introduced Maxima, the new range of powerful and highly dynamic multi-purpose portal machining centres with mobile beam, for complete machining of medium and large-sized pieces, specially those meant for the aerospace sector, requiring both turning and milling. Salient features: powerful and dynamic thanks to its heavy-duty structure and turning and milling tables with diameters up to 2000 mm, torque up to 20,000 Nm and capacity up to 12,000 kg, linear axes rapid speed of up to 60 m/min and rotary axes speed up to 100 RPM; maximum versatility thanks to the automatic system for head exchange, 6 interpolated axes and possibility of using the working area to its full potential; versatile and powerful 5-axes milling heads thanks to the "C" axis non-stop rotation, "A" axis rotation up to 135° and us-age of spindles featuring both a torque up to 300 Nm and the possibility of being positioned without any angular limit through high-powered hydraulic brakes; special turning heads for top effectiveness when performing both inner and outer machining; utmost productive vantage – this centre requires just one set-up to carry out turning, milling, drilling, tapping and grinding, thus zeroing downtime and maximizing machining quality; ideal to machine medium and large pieces, specially those meant for the energy, aerospace and transport sectors; and wide range of models in order to meet and exceed even the most demanding and peculiar production requirements.
