High Speed Centres For Small Workpieces

The new FZ 08 machining centre as a moving column machine rounds off Chiron"s programme of products at the lower end of the range. The machine is built as a rigid table machine or with automatic workpiece changer for simultaneous loading and unloading. Potential applications include pneumatic systems, medical products and surgical instruments, precision parts, components for clocks, watches and computers. The centres have an automatic tool changer with 12 (20) magazine places. There is a main spindle with direct drive AC motor and HSK-A 32 taper according to DIN 69893. The centre achieves a 0.5 second tool change time, a 1.5 second chip-to-chip time and a 0.7 second run-up time to 10,500 RPM.
