Five Side Machining With 18 Spindles

This machine is built on the bed and structure of the company"s multi-operation turning machines. It applies the turret mounted spindle concept, incorporating 12 radial and six axial spindles in a turret configuration. What would be the spindle and chuck on a turning machine is a multi-axis rotary indexing table, with linear as well as rotary positioning and contouring. Optional infinitely variable speed spindles are available for conventional cutting or for high speed machining (up to 20,000 RPM) with small tools. With extensive multi-axis machining capability, it is well suited to complex parts that require machining on up to five sides. The benefit of the multiple spindle design is that it minimises work handling for such complex parts.
