Five-Axis/ Five-Sided Universal Machining System

Deckel Maho, Germany, introduces a five-axis fivesided single setup universal machining system. The DMU70V is a perfect solution for applications in medical and surgical products industry. The five-sided machining eliminates reclamping and realignment of the work-piece for time saving, improved machining precision and for improved contour accuracy. The five-axis component for aerospace industry, ie, turbine impellers up to 700 mm with the same precision and power can be manufactured on DMU-70V machine. Even the complex work-piece geometries of mould and die can be easily machined in shorter time. The powerful five-axis simultaneous machining replaces cumbersome line by line process thus provides dramatic time savings and noticeably improved precision. The DMU-70V machine offers the longitudinal travel of 710 mm with cross and vertical traverse of 520 mm, respectively. It is also equipped with high speed spindle up to 15,000 RPM and an integrated spindle drive motor of 15 kW capacity. The machine is equipped with Digital Controller, either Millplus from Deckel Maho with dialogue version or Heidenhain TNC 426 PB.
