CNC Revolving Center

Machine Elements manufactures CNC Revolving Center, Model "Stribeck". The bullet and the body are designed, to facilitate, tool approach close to the centre with minimum overhang. High precision angular contact bearings are used to ensure accuracy and long life. It is designed on the principle of one bore one shaft for high accuracy. Concentricity of the bullet nose with respect to the taper is maintained within 0.005 mm TR. Designed to run at high speed ranging from 2500 to 7500 RPM with low heat generation, the bearings are preloaded to avoid starting shock loads. Application: precision turning, copy turning lathes with high RPM CNC machines. The arrangement of the bearings allows positive and equalised lubrication to all the bearings. Designed to prevent coolant fluid and dirt from entering into the bearing assembly, there by ensuring maximum life of the bearings. The body is machined from chromium alloy case hardening steel to prevent scratches. The bullet machined from tool steel is hardened and stress relieved to ensure maximum life. The cone angles are designed to turn even smaller diameter work pieces with ease. Male and female cones are available with carbide inserts, for high speed finishing SPMs.
