The F 18 is a moving column machine designed for shuttle and longbed operation up to 2,000 mm. The robust fixed table allows heavy clamping fixtures and workpieces to be mounted. Travels on the X, Y and Z are 2,000 x 200 x 425 mm. The tool magazine has 36 pieces for taper DIN 69871 and the main spindle achieves up to 10 500 RPM at 18 kW. There is a rapid traverse of 60 nvmin on the X axis and a 40 m/min on the Y and Z axes.
