Workholding System With Quick Part Loading & Unloading

The M-System workholding system is designed to make vertical and horizontal machining centres operate with greater efficiency and is designed to minimise downtime and maximise productivity during uptime. Downtime is reduced or even eliminated through the use of QwikChange machinable jaws, which allow quick part loading and unloading, and repeat setup in just seconds. Made of high strength aluminium, QwikChange machinable jaws are convened into dedicated fixtures by cutting them to fit the shape of the workpiece on the user"s machining centre. The centre jaw is fixed by two mounting bolts and should contain all reference and locating surfaces. QwikChange jaw pins hold the movable jaws and transfer the clamping force towards the base, virtually preventing any jaw lift. Repeat setups take less than one minute per part, with a repeatability of ?0.025 mm. With the M-System, weight can be devoted to the parts rather than the workholding. To keep the system light, most components of the M-System are made of high strength aluminium that is hard-coated and PTFE impregnated. The M-System is available for vertical and horizontal machining centres. The Qwik-Lok can hold two parts for vertical machining, and the Multi-Lok can hold eight parts for horizontal machining. Both are availabIe with jaw widths of 100 mm, 150 mm, and 200 mm, and base lengths of 300 mm, 400 mm, and 500 mm.
