Workholding System For Multi-Part Setups

MicroLoc, is said to improve the packing density of workpieces. MicroLoc is designed to make better use of machine time by enabling machining on multiple parts in one setup. The system can clamp rectangular, square and round parts relative to known datums and can be configured with CAD/CAM for optimising layouts. The upper face of the main reference base plate contains standard longitudinal T-slots for fixing in the Y axis, with transverse slots for accurate positioning of fixed location jaws. The location jaws and their clamping units are positioned to suit the type of component being clamped; the jaws are offered in three widths and are capable of applying linear clamping forces up to two tonnes. Component stops are used for accurate location of workpieces to known datums. Work blades allow the user to set the height of the workpieces for maximum accessibility and security during machining, minimising obstructions.
