Vertical Machining Centre

The Vertical Machining Centre, Takumi V-8 is characterised by a robust heavy-duty construction. The Takumi V-8 features flat rectangular hardened and ground guideways for X, Y and Z axes with Turcite ? lining on mating surfaces. This provides large bearing areas for the guideways resulting in extremely high rigidity and ensures vibration-free cutting on steel. The unique 4 Turcite ? quoted slideways on the base for the saddle movement enable machining at any position along X axis without overhang. A Y axis travel of 510 mm which is unique to Takumi machines, results in higher machining volume. The machine features a very rigid spindle with 3 pairs of high precision angular contact bearings, thus permitting extremely efficient torque/speed power characteristics. A standard 8,000 RPM spindle with refrigerated oil cooling ensures thermal stability of the spindle for uniform performance throughout the day. The machine is available with a choice of CNC systems from Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, etc. For the die/mould industry, this machine offered with the Cimatron 3D CAD/CAM package from Israel. Cimatron has developed an extremely powerful software for operation using a PC and works on Windows operating system. For high quality engraving, the Cimagraphi software is available. The company offers a complete range of vertical machining centres starting from a table size of 1,000 x 510 mm to 2,400 x 800 mm in a range of 5 models. This range is being expanded further to cater to increasing demand of customers for larger machines.
