Functions of Metrol tool setter:

• Tool off-set measuring
• Tool breakage detection and in-process tool wear updating

Advantages:

Minimise manual interferences – the conventional method of measuring the tool offset and entering the value into the machine controller will always lead to unnecessary rejection of component/s due to error in reading or updating.
