Closed body turnbuckles are a traditional style rigging screw body. These turnbuckles are manufactured from high quality 316-grade solid stainless steel bar, which is then polished to a mirror finish. Threads are UNF (fine), machine swage only. Turnbuckles are extremely useful devices primarily for adjusting the tension of ropes, cables, and tie rods – and can be often seen to maintain tension between two points. This device is also known as a bottle screw and is used for architectural applications in a tensioning rigging and lashings in building structures, bridges, stadiums, warehouses, etc.
