Scroll Chuck With Precision Mechanism

Forkardt introduce a range of scroll chucks, type ATD. Suitable for all chucking operations, the scroll chucks offer high repeatability and long chuck life. The patented AjustTru-Din mechanism allows a precise spin of the clamped workpiece. For chuck sizes 300 mm and smaller, the repeatability is 0.0 1 5 mm, for larger diameters it is 0.025 mm. This precision comes from a built-in 0.5 mm clearance between the chuck body and the mounting plate. This allows opposing adjusting screws ample movement to adjust work accurately. The scroll chucks have hardened steel bodies and are available with 2, 3, 4 or 6 jaws, in a wide range of diameters and with a variety of location systems.
