Rolled Ball Screw

Rolled ballscrews are made by rolling process of the screw spindle instead of the grinding process, rolled screws are produced by forcing round bar stock through rotating dies to form the thread the long rolled bars are then cut to length and heat treated.

Advantages:

• Low cost
• Ready availability
• Same nut can be used for rolled ball screws
• Rolled ball screws use the same preload method as the precision ground ball screws except that there are some difference in the lead error definitions and the geometric tolerance
